Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Lympstone Manor is frequently praised for its stunning location and beautiful grounds, including the vineyard, wooded areas with Shepherd's Huts, and easy access to the estuary, not to mention the sculptures and the appealing pool complex. The rooms, such as the Redshank junior suite, are often described as immaculate, stylish, and luxurious, with comfortable beds and complimentary amenities; although some have mentioned occasional delays with buggies for transport around the grounds. Guests consistently enjoy the exquisite food, particularly the tasting menus and dishes like the langoustine, and the elegant dining room enhances the experience.

forgotten request high price
The breakfast was excellent. It included a good range of options.
The hotel forgot my specific request. I called ahead to arrange a small birthday surprise and the hotel staff confirmed they would take care of it, but nothing happened. The price for dinner felt quite high.

a disappointing experience
bad breakfast tinned tomato
the wine list had a good selection across different price ranges, it was decent.
the breakfast was very bad, it was the worst hotel breakfast i remember. fresh fruit was served in small dishes, you could not help yourself to it. our cooked breakfast took an hour, tinned tomato was also there, it was unacceptable.

adequate stay
pool complex great grounds dry sandwich sweet filling
the grounds were superb. i enjoyed a walk through the vineyard. the pool complex had great changing facilities. dinner was a real treat. i chose from the a la carte menu.
the sandwiches were starting to dry around the edges. the fillings were not very generous. the cakes tasted very "samey". mousse fillings were very sweet

insufficient lighting excessive service
I stayed in what they called a "beautiful king room", but the bathroom lighting was insufficient. it made applying makeup difficult. the lack of slippers in the room was also surprising, especially at this price point. lastly, the automatically added service charge felt excessive. I reminded me of the staff could have been a bit more engaging.
